I like the progression at the beginning and the phasing. The beat, while minimal, is pretty catchy and really drives the piece forward. Excellent job with the production on this one. Everything comes through the mix very clear and well-balanced. The underlying harmonic structure of the piece is very repetitive, and I wish you had highlighted the added details like that descending line at 2:24 a little more. Still, really cool atmosphere and sound design, and great use of reverb and automation, too.

I support you, Pr0tagonist.

I found out that I wasn't following you a few weeks ago, and refollowed you, but today it says it again! They're breaking NG lol.

This was a really great piece to work on. I'm really glad I hit the monotonous nail on the head with this one. I can still listen to it on a loop and not get bored, which is something I want in all of my music really.

Thanks for the review!

Strong work here yet again. What I especially like about this one is all the dynamic contrast. You really turned the drop into an emotional height, unlike the last piece I reviewed where it wasn't even as busy as the build-up. I really like your style, man. It's definitely dubstep, but still has a huge emphasis on melodic content and phrasing. If I had to complain about one thing, it might be that the ending came on a bit suddenly with this one. Still, very impressive work. Keep it up, dude! ^_^

Thanks m8, Yes, this is not the extended version of it. it's still the Radio version. i'm working on the extended version and hoping could release it sooner :)

I like the frantic synths at the beginning. The instrumentation is also quite good. The quirky pads at :27 are really refreshing, as are the chopped vocals that appear shortly after. The mixing and mastering is great, btw. Really loud and clear mix here. The drop at 1:10 was a nice point of structural contrast too after the busy section before that. The build-up at 2:35 is great, and I really appreciate how you varied the drop the second time around. The little melodic theme at 3:06 was a huge highlight too, and the warm pads at the end are great. Really strong work here, my friend. Downloaded.

Thanks A lot! Appreciate it man!

I like the ominous mood at the beginning and the dissonance with the bell-like synth. One thing I don't like is how the synth cuts off suddenly, like at :18 and :27. Kinda ruined the flow IMO. Later in the piece, the same synth sounds pretty harsh. I'd suggest filtering out some of the higher-pitched tones there. Still, I like the drone-like quality and the atmosphere here. Pretty amusing track. Sounds like intro music for a horror-themed video game. Keep at it, man!

Pues gracias amigo por tu review :)

I like the warm pads at the beginning and the sample at :14 that sounds like a ballpark organ. The beat at :25 is also good, but I think the kick could've been a tad louder. I'd suggest using some more compression, in fact. The mix is pretty quiet in general in this piece. The secondary melodies at 1:06 are good in and of themselves, but run into the other melody a little too much for it to come off as pleasing. The piece alternates between a couple riffs for the rest of the piece without ever changing much in terms of emotion, dynamics, or energy. I think that's my main complaint, actually. You could've done a lot more to tell a story and provide a climax here, but instead the piece is marked by a lot of repetition and not much resolve. Overall, this is still a really cute track. My favorite elements are the mood and the instrumentation. Keep at it, man! ^^

Thank you for your opinion/advice man have a nice one !

I like the progression and harmonic elements. The sound design is a different story. That main pad sounds a bit harsh in my ears, and the synth that comes in at :15 sounds pretty generic. I also think the hats could be a bit louder, and that the transition at 1:04 could've been a lot smoother. Even a simple crash probably would've sufficed. I do like the warmer pads that come in at 1:20, though. Adds a pretty tasteful sense of resolution to the piece. It goes without saying that you could've done a lot more with this piece, but for 30 minutes you've done some pretty solid work. Keep at it, man! ;)

thanks for the feedback!

I like the pensive vibe at the beginning. Instrumentation is really nice here, although that snare at :21 sounds a little harsh. You may have overdone the reverb at times, and the transition at :33 is a little sudden. I'd recommend a crash or something to smooth it over. My main complaint, though, is that the piece is pretty directionless. You strip away the beat and add it back a few times, but harmonically the piece consists of the same 7-second progression, repeated over and over again. I'd love to hear some more melodic content, phrasing, and overarching shape to this piece. I'd encourage you to keep working on it. Keep at it, man!

you right , but i like its minimalizm.

That's quite a lot of bass you got there. The beat is pretty cool, and I like the ghosty pads at :45. Overall, though, there's really not a lot of harmonic depth to this piece. I think you need a stronger sense of melody. When you do have some moving notes (like at 1:43), the rhythm is really square and predictable, which doesn't really make it seem like a melody. I think you have a good sense of harmony and progression, but this piece needs a lot more fill to keep my attention throughout. I didn't observe any major problems with the mixing, although some instruments might need a high-pass if you decide to add more instruments to the texture. I'd encourage you to keep working on this. Keep at it, SKRFrancis!

I like the melancholic mood at the beginning and the bouncy beat at :12. In a way, there are two clashing themes here between the moody piano and cutesy beat (I say cutesy mostly because of the slidey percussion thing that plays on the pick-up note to every measure. I think you make these two moods coexist pretty well, though. My main complaint with the piece is that it seriously lacks variety. I'd love to hear some lyrics, a melody instrument, and a bass line added into the texture. Right now, it seems like you have the harmonic framework and progression laid out, but not much in the way of memorable content. The emotional appeal of the piano is a huge plus, but I want to see you do more with that emotion - use some lyrics to explain why the piano part has so much longing and wistfulness in it, you know? I'd encourage you to keep working on this track. Keep at it, man!

The intro had a great climactic vibe that functioned like an EDM build-up, yet still sounded really atmospheric. The harmonic elements of the song don't have a lot of depth or complexity, but the beat is pretty catchy. The song is also rather slow to progress after the first minute or so. I think you may have used a tad too much reverb at times, and the kick didn't come through the mix very clearly. I like the sound design, but I think this piece needs a little more fill to keep my attention throughout. I appreciated the more atmospheric ending, though. Overall, pretty cool. Piece has a lot of flavor and atmosphere, but it could use some more moving notes. Keep at it, man. :)

HJfod responds:

Ahh, an actual in-depth review. It's been a while since I've got one of these. This song was inspired by Iron God: Sakupen Hell Yes Rmx, which is why this is so slow to progress. This was really just an experimental piece to test out Gross Beat and some other stuff. Thanks for the review tho, I really appreciate all feedback I get! :DD
