[A Stroll on the Beach]

I love the instruments and mood. It's beautiful! :D Those melodies are excellent, and it has a very calming atmosphere to it. I love the progression and transitions, too. It reminds me a lot of snow instead of a stroll on the beach, but maybe that's because there's so much of it right now in Boston! XD Anyway, again, it has a beautifully constructed atmosphere to it. The ending seemed a bit sudden, though, and it might need some more dynamic contrast. Other than that, great job! Keep at it, man! ;D

You know, I've been thinking about reviewing some of your work for a couple of days now, I just haven't yet got to it. Now I'm definitely going to do that soon ;)

I actually still like this one too, even if I have no clue how to play it anymore; I lost the MIDI file. I could always listen to it enough to learn it again, since it's pretty simple (and rooted somewhere deep in my subconscious). Some transitions actually switch the entire key for a short while which I almost always do in my compositions, it has become a weird habit.

Yeah, I understand what you mean with the snow, I can see many different images while listening to this.

=> You are definitely right. I originally intended to only do the first half of the song. Then I continued without using any more creative thinking, thus I only replayed what I'd already done... I should still have come up with a proper ending. Dynamics have never been one of my strong sides, but I will try to improve in that area as well.

Yes! :D I love your classical tracks, Waterflame! It was interesting to hear the contrast between the mellow strings and the percussion which really drove the energy of this piece. It seems a little simplistic at times, but I really admire your mixing and your sound design. The transition to more energy/darker themes at 1:22 was flawless! I really love the contrast between blissful and heavier moods. The structure and transitions are very good in general, and the instruments, especially the percussion, were really cool, too! Excellent work as always, good sir! ;D

[Galactic Visions]

Wow, this does remind me a lot of OcularNebula's stuff! I like the instruments and arps. The mood is cool and cute, and the structure is good too. You give your tracks just the right amount of variation, which makes me jealous. XD My main complaints are that the beat fell flat a bit and failed to add much to the piece, and that it feels very pizzicato-esque, which isn't always a good thing. Also I feel like the balance at :48 was off - that melodic synth seemed way too loud over the arps and bass. In-game, it would even make a pretty good loop. Your pieces are very "reviewable," though, LunacyEcho. They are clearly all very creative and seem to have a purpose larger than themselves, which I like. Keep up the good work! :D

OcularNebula's work often flows a lot better than this song and is more ambient. I agree with the pizzicato thing, but I realized that when I was too far into the song to turn back, Sadly.

I think what makes my pieces reviewable is the fact that I have a purpose with each and every one. Whether it be to create a medley of catchy tunes, an attempt to emulate a certain artist, or even to make a song that uses the 12-bar blues progression through a series of different genres, you can easily say 'yes, it worked', or 'no, it didn't' to each of my pieces. I rarely just make music 'for music's sake', I normally have a purpose behind everything.

[I Don't Want to Drown]

I love the emotion and progression. It's very contemplative, and, similarly to your last track, really tells a story. The melodies are beautiful, and I can't help but feel your pain when I listen to this. I'm not sure I liked the change of mood at 1:20, though - while beautiful in itself it felt a little out-of-place for me, like I was hearing two separate pieces. However, I love the scales and variations at 1:43. It truly is an excellent composition. I liked the ending a lot, too. Overall, great work! Keep it up, DJ Babokon! ;D

[Dreams and Aspirations]

Woah! 0_o Didn't think you were still active...This track brings me back to the days when this music ran rampant across NG (when I was like 12 years old). It reminds me a lot of "Constellations," but maybe that's just because it's the last track you uploaded to the site. I love the atmosphere and instruments and the melodies, though. As far as suggestions, I'd say you could do more with the drums, and I'm not a big fan of fade-out endings. Other than that, nice work! Hope you'll post here more often in 2014! ;D

Its so hard to keep up with making music these days, with everything in life going on. I'm just glad I still have fans who look forward to hearing more of what I can do. Honestly, when I'm feeling down in the dumps over just about anything, I reflect on that, and it's people like you that pick my spirits back up! Thank you so much for the many years of support!
