WOAH! 0_0 I haven't heard from you in a LONG time. I love the ominous riffs and instruments. The combination of that edgy guitar and eastern-sounding gamelan or whatever sounds really haunting! The structure is solid, and the transitions are good too. The ending was interesting. It almost sounded like a moment of humorous realization the way that guitar cuts off suddenly - like all of a sudden it turns out the zombie was just this goofy kid or something. Anyway, I like this experimental stuff you're doing, Mistarogerz. Keep it up! ;D

I only have a certain month out of the year to make any music at all and this is my window of opportunity. Best part is, I'm not stuck in the studio all day as my job entails traveling and a lot of gamble. This time, I'm going to travel all over the country and write songs on the spot just like this one. Spontaneous, and there will be more......

I like the emotion and simplicity. The progression seems a little arbitrary, though. I did like the instruments and mood. It could use a bit more of playing with structuring and dynamic contrast, though. I personally wouldn't regard this piece as in "its (somewhat) final form." It has potential, though, and I think you should keep working on it. Keep it up! ;)

This is a really interesting combination of instruments and moods. It feels energetic and fast-paced sometimes, and dreamy and relaxing at others. I love the melodies around 1:00, and then how it goes into a more guitar-heavy part. It reminds me a lot of "Sky Fortress" in that way. I think it progresses a little slowly at the beginning, and the ending cuts off a little suddenly, but other than that I have very few complaints. Looking forward to SO much more WF music in 2014! ^^

I like the beat and progression, and the mixing is pretty clear. It's very pizzicato-esque, though - some pads or something might smooth it out a little. I think your harmonies clash a bit at some places, like at :48. I like a lot of the isolated riffs, like the one that comes in at 2:23. I like the part around 3:15, how you ended it so atmospherically. The main thing that bothers me about it is that the pizzicato-heavy texture makes it feel incomplete and even harsh at times. In addition to adding pads, you could try adding more reverb or just using different instruments. Sorry if this review seems a little negative. I just want to help you improve! :) Keep at it, Mrobeymenow. ;D

Thanks for taking the time to review my work. If it weren't for reviews like this my songs would sound terrible. I will try to take what you've told me and make even better works.

It's "Yankee Doodle Dandy!" :D "Yankee doodle went to town, riding on a pony. Stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni!" It was originally published as an insult to American colonists in the 1700s, but now is considered a patriotic song for all Americans, especially in Connecticut. I could actually see you going somewhere with this, though. The cute, simple melody line is fitting for a videogame, and it has a strange energy to it as well. It loops well, too. Not much else to say - it is only 7 seconds long - but maybe you could elaborate on this melody, even if it is almost 250 years old! ;)

hahaha true, thanks man!

Dude, are you making a sea-themed EP or something? XD Anyway, this is really chill. I love the atmosphere and mood. I thought the clap at :49 had WAY too much reverb for a piece this mellow, though. It's really easy to space out when I listen to this, but that's a good thing! ;) I loved the LFO effect (is that an LFO effect?) at 1:59. Your melodies are hypnotic, and the structure is very well-done. It just perfectly channels my emotions away from cold, dreary New England. I loved how you got glitch-y around 3:00. That said, some of the instruments sounded a little high-pitched and harsh at times, and this is especially noticeable at 3:05. The ending is dreamy and brilliant, though. Overall, this is another fantastic piece of music. You should seriously consider charging people money for this. I would pay! :)

LOL I don't know. Last month I was really obsessed with snow and wrote like 5 snow related songs. (Most were improvs that didn't see the light of day.) I just have these weird obsessions sometimes.

Yeah the reverb on that clap doesn't really fit in until later.

"It's really easy to space out when I listen to this" Yeah I've been trying to de-busy my pieces and have more space and less things happening. I think it gives this piece a really chill feel.

I kinda agree that 3:05 is harsh, but argh I also kinda think that it works. Like I dunno how I'd get that emotion out without a similar sounding synth. Time to do more sound design exploration I guess.

I have thoughts about this. SECRET THOUGHTS. (Not really.) But I usually keep my project ideas close until I finish them - or at least start them - because I've found that talking about my ideas makes me less likely to actually finishing them. So it could be a while before I start talking about it. It might end up being something you don't expect though.
