Dubstep isn't really my favorite genre, but this was pretty good as far as dubstep goes. I liked the part at :40, and the instruments and mixing were actually really good. The vocals added a lot to the piece, and although I didn't really like that second drop at 1:58, and some of the effects seemed a little extraneous, this is a pretty solid first attempt at dubstep. The ending seemed a little random, but overall the structure and transitions were good. Nice job, JQiscool. ;)

Thanks :)

I like the instruments/effects as well as the mood throughout. It's so cinematic and suspenseful! :D I wish there was more of a definitive ending though, and also that it went more of somewhere, but, still, you captured this fantasy underwater world perfectly, EuphoriaSound! :D

I liked the variations you incorporated in the intro. It was smooth-flowing and catchy. I still think some of the harmonies are a little atypical ( :31, 3:01), but that's probably what you were going for, so I get it. ;) Awesome instruments, though, and good structure. My favorite part was at 2:18. Overall, awesome piece! Keep it up, DJ Theof! :D

Thanks :D Glad you liked it, or ... most of it hehe...

That is a pretty cool melody line! :D I really like the instruments and mood and structure. It's catchy and unique, and it loops well too! Great work yet again, Johnfn! :D

johnfn responds:

Thanks! I've been working more on synthesis so I'm glad the mood and instruments are working :-)

I like the distorted instruments and catchy melody at the beginning. I wish it was more varied, though, and the transition at 1:13 was a little rough. It's well-structured and unique, and even loops pretty well. An overall solid piece, just needs more of a direction to go in, y'know? I think you should keep working on it, but good start! ;)

Radiationator responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that it probably needs to be a little less repetitive and a bit more smooth, so I'll be sure to fix that on the full version.

I liked the melody and instruments and relaxed mood at the beginning. However, I think it would've been more interesting if you played with the dynamic contrast towards the beginning (the instruments gradually got louder in order to create a climax into :58). I liked the part at :58 btw, but I didn't like how the strings got distorted by the percussion/effects shortly after. I liked how you incorporated more instruments into the piece as it went on, like the piano that came in around 2:00. The harmonies were nice, and the structure pretty good too, but you might want to think more about the dynamics of certain instruments, like the melody instrument at around 3:20, which was a little too penetrating for its own beautiful melody. Overall, good piece! Endings are important to me, and I liked how this one ended! Hope this review was helpful, and keep up the good work! ;)

AceJackLind responds:

thanks for the tips, i'll make sure to look up on it, and maybe try to remaster it, soon enough.
also this is the first time i've experienced with the more cinematic ochestral style, and your comment are very much appreciated :)
