I love the bass-y feel and the climactic nature of it. The instruments, especially the drums, added a lot to the drama of the piece. You constantly vary it and it has this engrossing sort of energy to it. The only part I didn't like was the ending. It needs to stand out more in my opinion. Other than that, great job! Hope this review was helpful! ;)

Thank you very much! it was helpful! the ending was attempted to fix... i didn't know what you meant that much but i tried!

Yeah! So upbeat and energetic! A little repetitive, and the effect at :46 and 1:16 seemed a little random, but this is well-structured. I liked the part at 1:17, too, btw, and you really should make the full version available here. I listened to the whole thing on youtube, and I'm impressed! The emotion is amazing, and I'm thirsty for more! :D Never stop making music, man! ^^ You deserve all of your 322 fans and more! ;)

Thanks man! Appreciate the support

Yeah! :D It's so relaxed, and the instruments were well-used. I especially love the one you used for the chords. You really played with my emotions! I love a piece that can do that! The sound effect at 2:52, however, didn't really work for me. I appreciate the emotional contrast, but the transition from chill to creepy was a little too sudden for me. I also thought the part at 2:54 got a little repetitive. 3:36 was a highlight of the song for me. The end of the song didn't have the same beatific vibe that the beginning had. It kind of threw me off that the bass carried this club-ish energy, but the chords (if that's what you'd call them) were still really chill. I think you should choose one feeling or the other for the end, but I still appreciate the attempt at going somewhere with the song. I also liked the very end of the piece. It seemed fitting. Overall, good job. Hope this review was helpful. ;)

It's okay...I liked the ominous beginning, especially with the drums, but it was a little slow in general. The strings were hiding under the beat for most of the song- it could've been much more dramatic, as I see that's what you were going for. Also, there could have been a lot more dynamic contrast before/after 1:08. It's not a bad start. I just think it could be more emotional. I encourage you to keep working on it. ;)

I agree with everything you said. It definitely could have been better, but as it was just for testing purposes, I didn't exactly make it to the best of my abilities. If I ever do choose to do a finished version (Which I probably will at some point), I'll take into account everything you mentioned. Thanks!

Really interesting...I like the instruments and melodies. You incorporated the speech well, however in general I don't usually like spoken words used in excess in a song...but that's just me. I'm not sure how the speech relates to the "buttery epic popcorn" theme, but after :22 the song was pretty catchy and well-structured. Loops well too. Good job! ^^

mistarogerz responds:

The speech from Robert Frost just felt right at the time. However, in retrospect "What the Hell was I thinking when naming this thing Buttery Epic Popcorn?"

I like the dreamy intro, but I think you made it too long, and the transition at 1:11 is a little sudden. I like the instruments, though, and the melody. It's upbeat and catchy. I like the ending, too. Overall, a nice feel-good sort of piece. Keep up the good work! :)

Thank you! :-)

I had to think a lot about this one before reviewing it. It's dry and dull, yet interesting. It's mellow and relaxing, yet there's not a lot of depth in it. I like the instruments. I like the harmonies. I think it doesn't lead much of anywhere- there's the same level of intensity throughout the piece. Maybe you could try giving it more emotional/ dynamic contrast. It ends pretty suddenly. I think it needs a little more form. It's probably one of the most unique pieces I've ever reviewed on NG. It has potential. I encourage you to keep working on it. :)

Merpy responds:

Ok thank you
and yeah I'll keep working on it
i was trying to keep it simple
so i can spend more time on learning how to make instruments
