I like the instruments and chords at the beginning. It's catchy and unique. The transition at :56 was very good, and, although I usually don't like dubstep that much, I found this tolerable. I think your transitions at 1:23 and 2:17, however, need to be smoother, and it ends a little suddenly. Still, it has a lot going for it, even if it's not really my genre of choice. ;)

AnthemOfficial responds:

Thank you.
I have had a lot of trouble with transitions.
I try :P

You made this all in Garageband, didn't you? Sorry man, but your transitions were very rough and the instruments usually didn't harmonize very well together. Don't let that disappoint you, though; smooth transitions and harmonizing are both really hard to do when all you have to work with is a few hundred loops. Don't get me wrong: Garageband is a good starting point for exploring your musical interests, but eventually I think it would be best if you a). play a musical instrument (you might already, and, if so, good for you), or b). use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that's more advanced and allows you to synthesize material better (FL Studio, Reason, etc.) I hate to rate you so low, but Garageband just doesn't satisfy my tastes in music. Sorry. I hope you found this review helpful. ;)

I found it helpful,
I use a Mac, I only have a Mac.
That's all I have. I can't find any other
Audio programs for that. I just checked your audio too,
I found it pretty nice. I do play the trumpet. That's it.
Thanks for the review, I don't mind the low rating. It just makes me want to learn more.

Pretty melody and instruments. Relaxing, yet strangely energetic. I like it! :) It has an amazing flow, but I do wish there was a little more dynamic contrast, even though it is a background-sort of track. The mood and the instruments were top-notch, though, and I like the ending a lot, too. Great job. ;)

thank you so much for responding. i will try to improve on my next piece. For the main while, check out the last one i have made, and comment on it too if you got a chance.

It's not a bad beat. The chord progression and melody were simple, but unique. I really wish it progressed a little faster, though. The structure is good, but some of your transitions, like at 1:59, could've been smoother. I like the mood and instruments, however. The melody got a little random and repetitive toward the end. Personally, I didn't really think the part from 2:34-3:33 really added much to the piece. I can tell you tried to add some variation here, but it came off as rather disparate from the main melody, and that didn't really work for me. Sorry. I think it has potential, though. It just needs more of a direction to go in, y'know? I think you should keep working on it, but not a bad start. ;)

Vasek responds:

Thanks for advices. I'm still learning rules of music and training my imgination, so who knows what will future bring? ^^

I like the instruments and melody, but it's very repetitive and lacks substance. It doesn't loop that well, and the transitions between the strings and music box, like at :15, are a little rough. I think you have a strong structure here- it just needs to be smoother, as well as a little more engaging. Couldn't hurt to vary it more, either. Pretty good start, though. ;)

Ritz190 responds:

Thanks. yea it was a test to see how well things meshed together. I don't plan on doing too much with it since it was just a test, but I see where you're coming from and I appreciate the criticism, dude!

It's really moody and interesting. I'm not sure I like the vocals, though. At times, it sounded a little too penetrating to fit with the smooth-sounding theme, like at :33. I also thought the parts didn't harmonize very well sometimes, and it sounds way too busy around 1:07. There are a lot of more interesting ways of ending a piece than a fade-out, btw. I still like the instruments, though, and I think it has potential. It just has two contrasting moods right now which don't fit well together- smooth and flowing, and rough and penetrating. You should keep working on it. It's worth it. ;)

Darkceo responds:

ty for the review, i will definitely will take all that into account for when im fixing this song!

I like the instruments and mood, and your transitions were good. I have to say, though- this track progresses very, very slowly. It needs a lot more variation, and it really shouldn't be 4 minutes long. I thought it ended a little suddenly as well. You have the framework for a solid piece, however. You just need more substance at some points and to make it less repetitive. ;)

EuphoriaSound responds:

This track was just something i made for fun. Nothing serious.
I never thought of releasing it on any website because it was just some junk :p

I love the mood and instruments. The vocals are good, and the lyrics themselves are clever. ;) It does get a little repetitive, and there are a lot of more interesting ways to end a track than a fade-out, but still a catchy, feel-good kind of track, man. Nice job! ;)

CosmicCowboy responds:

Thank you for taking the time the review this :) haha yeah sometimes a long fadeout is a copout outro/ending, but in this case it was what felt right to me. Glad you enjoyed it anyway! Thank you again.

Very calming. :) I like the instruments and mood, although I wish there was a bit more substance at some points. The transition at :59 was a little sudden, but I like how you made it sound like it was improvised (like a lot of jazz is) throughout. It has a nice, cheery little ending, too. ^^ I'd love to hear some of your original work. ;)

SilverPoyozo responds:

Thanks!Yep, it's lacking in a few areas, but I'm glad you liked it =)

Beautiful! :D I love the mood and instruments. The melody is uplifting, and it's very smooth and flowing. Well-structured, engaging, inspiring! Newgrounds needs more music like this! :D

DkayR responds:

Glad you enjoyed it.
