I like the instruments and effects (especially the crash). It's climactic and catchy. It could've progressed a little faster in my opinion, but I love the part at 1:23. You really brought out that summer-dance-party-like mood! :D I also like the melody that pops in around 2:00. Towards the end, it really has a nice, full sound too! I like how it ends like it begins. Excellent work! ;D

MIKEY-P responds:

Thanks a lot!

I like the ominous mood at the beginning, but the beat felt a little too energetic for that [electric piano?]. I like the angry bass at :43, but I wish it progressed a little faster and was more varied. I strangely liked when you combined the electric piano with the bass at 1:40, but it was still very repetitive. I think you need more layers of sound here to add a little more substance/ variation. The ending caught me off guard - I like it, though. Overall, I think you have the skeleton of a piece; it just needs more variation/ substance, as I said. Keep at it, man! ;)

Qshunt responds:

Thanks for the review! There was only about about fifteen minutes of work, so it's very early on. It's nowhere near where it will be on completion!

Yeah! :D I love the bass-y, funky riffs and melody. The instruments were cool, too. Maybe, if you ever decide to add to this, you could make the percussion stand out a little more. It definitely has potential to be an awesome full-length track. Btw, did you notice that it doesn't actually loop? This might not be your fault, but even in loop mode, it stops at :31. Pretty cool piece, though, man! Keep at it! ;D

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the suggestions :), I'll remember them when I'll edit the song.

It's true, unfortunatly the loop will not loop in the NG player. I have this problem with all loops, but it should work fine now with vlc player and other ones I think. The track is only 30 seconds long, but it is shown as 31, maybe that's the problem.

Edit: I found the problem, thanks for motivating me to solve the loop problem :D

I love the rhythms and instruments and beat. It's very catchy and energetic, yet also dreamy and atmospheric in a way. It could've progressed faster in my opinion, but I'm beginning to respect that slow-moving element of progressive trance because I think it contributes to the atmospheric mood. I love the gradual transition from around 2:40 into 2:52, and how, while it does progress very slowly, it's well-structured, smooth-flowing, and really leads somewhere as a whole. The mood is excellent - the perfect combination of blissful and contemplative. I love that riff (should I call it a melody?) that recurs throughout the piece, like at 5:58. The ending could've been more interesting in my opinion, but overall, it's an excellent piece. Keep it up, XsakuX. ;D

DreamEater responds:

Thank you very much Bro, I really really appreciate the super detailed review and I couldn't agree more! We were originally working on this remix for our label, but after a recent handful of issues with releases with them we decided to just give this guy out for free and leave it where it is. We definitely could have pushed this track a bit more, but after the recent drama we are over it haha. Incredibly stoked that you enjoyed it though man, and I hope others see exactly what you've seen in it!
Thanks again man!

I like the mood at the beginning and the instruments. The melody is good, too, but this piece ends way too suddenly. I think you should do more with it! I was waiting the whole 90 seconds for that moment when it transitions from ominous to epic, but that moment never came. Please continue working on this. It has potential. ;)

etherealwinds responds:

For me, the piece represents pretty much exactly that. The moment of 'epic' simply doesn't come. A feeling of loneliness, being lost. 'Futility' as I named it. I take your comments on board! Thank you :)

Catchy at the beginning. I like most of the synths, but not necessarily the instrument you used for the percussion at :14. It lacks substance at many points, and could progress a little faster. I thought the effect at 1:13 was going somewhere, but it really didn't add much to the piece. The instrument at 1:41 felt a little out-of-place. It finally started going somewhere around 2:20, but I think it's just kind of the skeleton of a piece at this point. I agree you need to add/replace some instruments, and I also think you should do more with the drums. Your transitions are improving, though, and I like that main riff you have in there at :01 a lot! Keep at it, JQiscool! ;)
