Catchy at the beginning. I like most of the synths, but not necessarily the instrument you used for the percussion at :14. It lacks substance at many points, and could progress a little faster. I thought the effect at 1:13 was going somewhere, but it really didn't add much to the piece. The instrument at 1:41 felt a little out-of-place. It finally started going somewhere around 2:20, but I think it's just kind of the skeleton of a piece at this point. I agree you need to add/replace some instruments, and I also think you should do more with the drums. Your transitions are improving, though, and I like that main riff you have in there at :01 a lot! Keep at it, JQiscool! ;)

thanks for the constant support!

Nice! :D A simple, feel-good piece that's well-structured and smooth-flowing and very catchy. You have some talent, my friend! ;)

Doumaaa responds:

Thank you for the nice kind words! :)

I like this! ^^ It's simple, yet cute and catchy. The instruments are cool, especially the percussion, which makes it sound mechanical in a way. Well-structured, smooth-flowing, an overall solid track, man. Nice job! ;)

Thank you!

I like the simplicity and emotion. The mood is very contemplative. The instruments and harmonies are beautiful. It also has a lot of form to it, which I like. At some points, it seemed like whatever plug-in you used for the crash got cut off somehow, like at 2:34 and 3:07. At 3:02, the percussion seems a little out-of-place. Maybe you should increase the volume a little more gradually. The instrument at 3:55 was a little too penetrating/loud as well. However, I love the transition at 4:15, and how you end the piece with the same simplicity and beauty as how it began. The structure of this piece is deeply meaningful, and it even loops pretty well. :D Once you clean-up the percussion and transitions around 2:34-3:07 and fix that instrument at 3:55, this piece will be completely perfect by my standards. ^^ Excellent work as always, Johnfn! ;D

Hmm yes you caught a lot of my errors! LIke my misplacement of the crash. That was just a mistake. This is all really very helpful. Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful review :-)

Climactic, energetic, and catchy! :D I love the melodies and mood. Some of the instruments felt a little too penetrating for the overall blissful mood, though, like the one at :57. However, I love the full sound of the track as well as the structure and transitions. It's uplifting, but also really cool! ^^ I love what you did with the drums, btw, as well as the variations at 3:26. Overall, pretty awesome piece! :D I've been waiting for a song from you that has the same significance for me as "Take the Risk," and I think I just found it! ^^ Please post more often, DJ Babokon! I love your music! <3 ;)

DJ-Babokon responds:

Thanks for your review man!! I love you!
And I've been pretty busy with other stuff *labels*ahem*EP*cough*so that's why I haven't posted as much. ;)

I like the atmospheric mood and instruments. I wish it progressed a little faster, and it lacks substance at some parts (like around 1:30), but I liked the melody at 1:48 and the upbeat vibe. The structure was also good, as well as the dynamic contrast and emotion at 2:20. The transitions were rock-solid, btw. You varied it really well, too, and I like the ending a lot! :D Some parts make me think of a happy, animated family in a car commercial for a hybrid or otherwise fuel-efficient vehicle. :) Nice work, Johnfn! ;D

johnfn responds:

Ha yes. I was trying to portray both the outside and the inside of the biodome. However the "outside" bit (the first half) was a bit rushed and lacked as much detail. Your animated family thing is kinda great though. Thanks for the review.

I like the emotion at the beginning and the constantly changing styles of this piece. It slowly evolved into a more energetic track, and then more of a chill-out vibe. I also like the vocal harmonies at the end, and the instrumentals were really good as always. I would've liked to see a little more cohesion with the different styles, though. I challenge you to make the changes in style more meaningful (maybe you could transition back into a style similar to the beginning at the end?). Still, a cool piece. You certainly deserve all the attention you're getting on Newgrounds, UlfusNG! :D

ulfusNG responds:

Yeah I'm still just trying to show off the styles I can do, I'm going to do a more serious Stalin piece about the gulags later.
