I like the instruments and climactic nature of this piece. The melody was good, and you did a nice job of varying it. Good structure, nice ending, really solid piece! :)

Thanks for the review! It means a lot :)
I like the instruments and structure, as well as the mood, but I think that at times the beat was a little distracting from the chill vibes of the other instruments. A couple of those transitions, like at :9 and :41, need to be a bit smoother. I like the variety of instruments, though, and I like the ending a lot too, but I think it needs to flow better. Other than that, good start. It has potential. ;)
Cool, thanks for taking the time to comment, I take your comments on board :)
I like the instruments and effects. I liked the transition at :38, as well as the distorted harmonies throughout. That eerie piano really added a lot to the piece. Well-structured, and I liked the ending. It could've progressed a little faster at the beginning, though, especially since it's so short, and a little more variation couldn't have hurt, but still a solid piece. Keep up the good work! ;)
Thanks for listening and reviewing.
I like the drama and climactic nature of this piece. I must say, however- a lot of those instruments don't sound very authentic, which I think you touched upon in the description. However, I like the structure, as well as the melodies and percussion. The ending was good, too. You also might want to transpose that violin part at 1:03 down an octave. It seemed a little too penetrating at its current pitch. Still, overall, good work. I appreciate how engaging and dramatic this piece is. ;)
Thanks for your response! When i get a hold of good instruments i will redo it and reupload. But im not sure when that will happen (maybe in a few days if im lucky, and if im not maybe in a few months if im not). About the violin, if i had proper instrument sounds it might have been different. I tried to do it one octave below but it didnt work quite well. We will see what happens when i get a hold of those libraries ;)
I like the serene mood and instruments. It doesn't progress very quickly, but in a way that fits with the mood. I wasn't sure I liked all the harmonies in there around :43, yet I do like the gradual incorporation of new moods and themes. It could use some more variation towards the end, but overall the structure was good. I like the ending, too. It seemed to fit with the swell and then decline of activity within the piece. Unique, and strangely engaging, too. I don't think it's necessarily a polished final product, but good work overall. ;)
yeah, this was kind of experiment you might say, i make some tunes like these but never really publish them, just don't think enyone will like it, but at the look of it, its alright. not the best but alright.
thanks for the review ^ ^
I like the instruments, especially the percussion and guitar at :18. It's groovy and unique, with a mood that's both refreshing and forlorn at the same time! The variation and melodies are excellent. Smooth-flowing, well-structured, harmonizing, loops very well. Amazing work! Easily 5 stars. ;)
Thanks for the kind review bro! I really love acoustic guitar too - it's tough for it not to sound good :)
Cool beat, man. ;) I like the bite that the clap has, and the rhythm of the kick. It loops well, too. Are you planning on making a song from this?
Possibly. This was a short experiment. Thanks for the review.
I like the frantic melody and cool instruments. It's very energetic and fun! :D I like the transitions at :13 and 1:01, and it's well-structured and engaging and unique. It ends a little suddenly, though. I'd love to see this made into a full-length track, maybe with some more variation on the melody. Still, it's an awesome piece, and a great creative way of channeling your anger! ;)
I like the instruments and mood, but it didn't progress very fast. That guitar caught me off guard- I thought it was turning into a more energetic song, and then it got all dreamy again...you have a lot of different instruments and melodies in there. I feel like they could mesh together better, and the structure is a little fractured. What I mean by that is that it seems like a lot of isolated melodies right now. It needs more flow, just like most of your pieces, I'm afraid. Another thing you could do to make transitions smoother is play around with the drums. When the piece is getting more energetic, emphasize them more, and when it becomes more dreamy and atmospheric, slowly strip them away. I think part of it is that you're trying to do too much in one song, JQiscool. Maybe you could start a couple of projects in which you keep the notes and chords simple, and that way a lot of different instruments and melodies can mesh well together. The isolated parts in this piece are good, but how you fit them together needs to be more meaningful. I'm glad you've been posting so much recently, JQiscool. Another great way to improve is to just get your stuff out there! ;)
Wow really long!
Thanks for the suggestions and constructive criticism!
:)
I like the melody at the beginning and the phrasing as well, but it could've progressed a little faster. The transitions at 1:24, 4:11 and 2:20 were a bit sudden, and I think there could've been more variation, but I acknowledge your hard work. At 2:48, the melody is suddenly much louder than it was before. I think you could make that transition more gradual as well. However, I like the breakdown at 3:45, and the instruments and mood as well. I didn't think it needed to be so long, though, and it ends a little suddenly. I know you've struggled with transitions before, so at least you're aware of what you need to work on. :) One way I usually handle transitions is by gradually changing the dynamics or whatever to try to convey the new mood I'm trying to establish. You seem to be going for a more rapid transition, which makes the music a little choppy. I also find it helpful to use the slide tool! ;) Hope you found this review helpful! ^^
This is one of the most helpful reviews ever!
The reason it doesn't progress as fast is this was going to be a rap song, actually, but the guy that was going to do the lyrics never finished, so i just posted the instrumental.
Thanks so much :)
