I like the dreamy mood, although it progresses really slowly compared to your other tracks. I like the instruments, but I think it needs a little more variety. At some points, like at :48 and 2:04, it really didn't seem to have that much substance. I like the harmonies and bass, and it's a nice little ambient groove, but it could be more engaging in my opinion. I didn't think it needed to be 6 minutes long. Still, it's a smooth background sort of piece. I like it. :)

TastyTeo responds:

i wanted to make it as long as i could because the school project is kind of big

I like the percussion and mood. It's catchy and the melody is nice and cute! :3 It loops really well, and I like the structure you have going on here. Keep it up, man! ;)

ScrabbitTheRabbit responds:

Thanks for the kind words :]

I like the emotion and simplicity. The instruments were beautiful! I think it should have a little more structure to it, though, and I didn't the pauses really added much to the piece, especially towards the end. It's a little too slow in that regard. I love the mood and instruments, but I think you should give it a little more form. You should keep working on it. :)

Mattashi responds:

Thanks for your review :) , I'll see and try if I can make it better.

I like the beat and the vocals. It's a little repetitive considering it's only 80 seconds long. I like what you did with the beat at 1:07, though. I feel like it needs more structure to be complete, but it does loop well. You should keep working on it, but this is a good start. ;)

K-POW responds:

thanks for the kind review!

I'm actually currently working on all the things you mentioned, just keep updated cause next release should be the full version :)

It's really relaxed and emotional and simple. I like it a lot. Was this improvised? It's short and it doesn't have a lot of substance, but it also leads somewhere and is very well-structured. It could even loop if you wanted it to. Great work, STEPHEN4705! ;D

STEPHEN4705 responds:

It was indeed improvised. It was based off the work of a fellow Newgroundser by the name of MarkySpark. He's got some fantastic work and if you liked this I strongly reccomend you check his work out as it's far superior to this :P Thanks for your time :D

I like the creepy melody and effects. It's a little repetitive and the variation that's there is very gradual. I feel like there should've been more substance at some points in the track, but I like the climax which peaks at 1:57. It's catchy and I like the instruments. 2:38 was an interesting transition. I liked the ending. I'd say you should work on varying it more as a priority, but, overall, I liked it. Keep it up, man! ;)

Abombination responds:

Thank you! I thought I could add a little more repetition to this one. Most of my tracks dont normally have this much repetition.

It's simple and cute. :3 I like the idea behind the song, but it lacks substance, and the melody was a little dry and bare. Maybe you could try harmonizing with some strings or something. I think it needs to be more engaging and lead somewhere more...you should keep building on it. It has potential. ;)

Woolio1 responds:

Surely, any sooner or later, I will try my best for learning how to play whit music boxes (On a good side) But for now, thanks for the review.

Oh, just forgot, this was actually made 2years ago but my cousin recorded it (He though it was good), so i completely forgot how to use them correctly, but even then, ill attempt to learn again at my best!

I was instantly engaged. The beginning has a mood to it- suspense, apprehension, something- that's just engrossing. I love the strings and piano and the drama and emotion! It has so much feeling- I wish you went more of somewhere with it, though. It seemed a little repetitive at points. I liked the breakdown at 2:32, and it finally started to have an interesting form at 2:44. It's engaging throughout, and I love the ending. Definitely a great song to open an album with! Great job! The feeling of impending doom makes me thirsty for more! :D

Lone-X responds:

I appreciate the review! I love the feedback! Glad you liked it!

I loved the instrument you used for the melody and the variations with that bass-y instrument (like at :58, 1:07, etc.). Maybe a little repetitive, but it's well-structured and upbeat! ^^ I liked the ending, but I think you overused that crash a little bit starting around 3:07. Overall, great work! You were one on NG's break-out artists of 2012, and still going strong! Keep it up, man! :D

TastyTeo responds:

The beat was 3/4 and not 4/4 so i had to end it the 3/4 way :P it is correct but it is not that good for the ear if you know what i mean, anyway thanks for the review :D

I like the bass-y intro and cresendo that starts at around :14. It's climactic and catchy (as usual), but I also like what you do with the beat at :56. It adds some flavor and variation to the piece. The instruments were good (as usual), and I don't know how you did the effect with that instrument at 1:09, but it sounded really cool! :D It was a little repetitive and long, and you already know what I'm going to say about switching up the style of your pieces sometime :P ...but I liked how this one had those bass-y parts in it, and the breakdown at 2:59 was good, but I thought the transition leading into it could've been smoother. I liked the variations with the bass at 5:44, but I thought the ending could've been stronger. Overall, good job, but I'd honestly be much more motivated to keep reviewing your pieces if you tried experimenting with some different genres. Keep up the good work, DylnMatrix. :)

Dylnmatrix responds:

Thanks for the review! I will be trying out some new genres soon, I just need the right tools to do so. I'm looking at buying Massive when I start working this summer so I can start trying out some Complextro/Dubstep/whatever I decide. I'm also going to be working with a friend of mine who writes Electro House stuff to learn how to make songs in that style. So the experimenting will begin soon! Just need the right stuff to do it :)

But during this time, I'm going to be remastering a lot of my old tracks due to me learning more how to properly master my tracks, and I was curious as to how my older tracks would sound with the mixing and mastering techniques I've learned.

Anyways, thanks for reviewing again, and hopefully I can satisfy your need to hear different stuff from me soon.
