[Moans Complex]

I like the beat at the beginning and the cool instruments. I liked the bassiness, especially at 1:11. It's well-structured and smooth-flowing, and I like the creepy mood that becomes more prominent around 1:40 - 2:30. It could've progressed a little faster at times, and I think you could've done more with dynamic contrast, but it's still a really solid track. Keep at it, man! ;D

[Born Into Blackness]

I love the instruments and mood. You incorporated the vocals really well. I wish there was more variation, though, and that it progressed a little faster. However, I like the emotion induced by the piano and the beat as well. It's well-structured and smooth-flowing, but given the lack of variation it probably shouldn't have been 4 minutes long. Still, I like the ending and, overall, it's a really good piece. ;)

I love the mood and instruments. It's the perfect combination of tranquil, creepy, and blissful! :D It's very well-structured and smooth-flowing. I love what you did with the drums later in the piece, and how the mood is completely transformed. The ending was a little sudden, but that's my only complaint! ;) Amazing work! ;D

[Village on Fire]

I like the instruments and mood. The melody creates a sense of stumbling somehow. I imagined an overweight, drunk Southern man waddling through a ghost town as if he was the mayor! XD It's a short, feel-good piece. Nice work! ;D

[Canon in Trance]

I like the dreamy mood at the beginning, but I don't like that aggressive-sounding instrument that starts around :30. It doesn't really fit with the otherwise blissful mood, so it sounds a little out-of-place to me. Some of your transitions felt a little too busy and angry, like around 1:30. It got better after 2:00, and I like the part at 2:45 a lot, as well as the melody at 5:12. I like the ending too. However, I must be honest in saying that I like your original work better. I'm looking forward to your collab, and also to August 25th. ;D

Thanks man. I guess the fact that I didn't put as much dedication into this as my other tracks showed for you. I personally like the bass that I bring in at 0:30, and I wanted to use Massive for the first time lol, but I understand that it isn't exactly everybody's cup of tea. My mind wanted to do a kind of mix of the two moods, and it worked for my ears. -shrugs- And I'm rambling.

Thank you again, it's always nice to see a review from you. I'll have the collab up here soon, and the date...well, I'll get back to you guys on that.

The melody was instantly engaging, and I love the variation and energy. It's very melodic and catchy. Cool instruments, smooth-flowing, well-structured. Maybe you could add a little more substance around :45 - 1:05, and make the ending a little more interesting. Overall, it's another short, but cool piece, Johnfn! :D

Yeah I think you're right about the :45 to 1:05 section, I was a little lazy with that melody, but I didn't know what else to do. (Maybe a 8 bit breakdown?) Without you reviewing my stuff my songs would feel pretty lonely, so thanks a lot for dropping by!
